LINEBERRY RESEARCH ASSOCIATES CONTINUES GROWTH STRATEGY WITH SEVEN NEW STAFF APPOINTMENTS AND EXPANDED OFFICE SPACE
Research Triangle Park, NC (November 7, 1996) -- Lineberry Research Associates (LRA), a pharmaceutical research and consulting firm in Research Triangle Park, NC, today announced another round of staff hiring: Barrett Cooper, Ph.D. as Senior Scientific Advisor, Patrick Vojta, Ph.D. as Clinical Research Scientist, Ashish Singh, Ph.D. as Clinical Research Scientist, Julie Varner, Ph.D. as Clinical Research Scientist, David Yehle, R.Ph. as Clinical Research Associate, R. Erick Hawkins as Clinical Research Associate and Marie Smith as Administrative Secretary.
In addition to the staff expansion, LRA has also recently doubled its office space in the Research Commons Building on Alexander Drive. "We are very pleased to continue our growth strategy into this second year of operations for LRA", said Charles G. Lineberry, Ph.D., President of LRA.
The seven new hires bring a diversity of research experience to the LRA team:
Barry Cooper, Ph.D. has over 23 years of research experience in pharmacology. Prior to joining LRA, Dr. Cooper held the position of Assistant Director of Pharmacology at Burroughs Wellcome Co.
Patrick Vojta, Ph.D. comes to LRA from the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) where he conducted research in human molecular genetics and cancer.
Ashish Singh, Ph.D. joined LRA from Glaxo Wellcome, Inc. where he was involved in the clinical development of CNS compounds.
Julie Varner, Ph.D. was most recently at Duke University conducting research at the Bryan Alzheimer's Disease Research Center.
David Yehle, R.Ph. is a board certified pharmacist who also has a bachelors degree in biology.
R. Erick Hawkins is a recent graduate of Yale University, with a strong educational background in biology.
Marie Smith was most recently at Glaxo Wellcome as an administrative secretary in Commercial Operations.
